Official Rally Event of the Clipsal 500 Adelaide

Welcome to THE CLIPSAL 500 ADELAIDE RALLY online

The CLIPSAL 500 ADELAIDE RALLY is celebrating its 10th year in 2009. The Event will again travel from Victoria to South Australia in the four days leading up to the Premier ‘Marquee’ event of the V8 Supercar Championships – the CLIPSAL 500 ADELAIDE. Now regarded as the ultimate Touring Road Rally Event in the country, its popularity has the 2009 Event close to “booked out”!

The Event has regularly attracted a very strong competitor base from both South Australia and Victoria but in recent years the Rally has also seen an increase in competitors from New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory. The CLIPSAL 500 ADELAIDE RALLY has also raised over $140,000 for charities since 2001. The Official Charity of the 2009 Event will again be the “Peter Brock Foundation”.

The 2009 CLIPSAL 500 ADELAIDE RALLY will start in Victoria on Monday 16 March and during the event competitors will compete in over 25 sub-events including Circuit Sprints, Auto-Tests, Motorkhanas, Navigation and Observation sections, Hillclimbs and Team events. The Rally will travel via venues in Western Victoria and South East South Australia before making its way to the Barossa Valley and the final competitive events at Collingrove Hillclimb and Mallala Motor Sport Park on Thursday 19 March.

The Event then has a Presentation Luncheon and Charity Auction at the Royal Coach Motor Inn, right next to the CLIPSAL 500 circuit on the Friday, has a vehicle display area at the circuit and a Parade lap of the track on the Sunday.

The Event is open to all Classic, Sporting and Performance vehicles.

PETER BROCK FOUNDATION - HERE COME THE BROCK'S!

Brothers Phil and Lewis Brock have joined HDT Special Vehicles in a five car entry in the 2009 CLIPSAL 500 Adelaide Rally to raise funds and awareness for the Peter Brock Foundation, the Official Charity of the Event.

The Brock’s New Generation HDT VC/VE Retro will be one of the full field of 60 cars entered in the CLIPSAL Rally that will be raising sponsorships for the Peter Brock Foundation. HDT Supremo Peter Champion will also be part of the team.

Phil (Split-Pin) Brock has continued his motorsport activities from the seventies and eighties competing more recently in HQ’s and the National Commodore Cup Series. For Lewis on the other hand, though sharing the famous surname, the CLIPSAL Rally will be his first motorsport competitive event.
